I began my career as a volunteer counsellor for Childline (NSPCC). I have experience with children, adolescence & adults. As a parent to 4 children & one with autism, I know how hard it is to feel accepted & navigate life. I have a real passion for helping people. I can promise to always listen without judgement.
I understand that life is rarely ever easy.
I can’t fix you….but I can help you & support you in finding a way forward - find a more positive path in life.
Come and sit down in a safe, comfortable, informal room with a cuppa (or water) in a safe place where you can talk In confidence. Let’s build a personalised plan.
If you're struggling with anxiety, stress, bullying , just feeling stuck - no matter what it is, i'm here to help. I will use what you tell me and help you learn practical coping strategies to manage your symptoms. I will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that meets your unique needs.
I supply FREE coffee/teas, water during all our sessions.
I also have a huge supply of fidget toys, stress relief toys, lavender oils for relaxation and breathing tools to help you feel relaxed. These are for use to everybody during every session.
I can supply blankets and cushions (try not to fall asleep) to help make you feel comfortable, safe and secure.
If there’s anything you wish to bring to help you feel safe during a session please discuss this with me (sorry no pets, unfortunately - but I wish I could fit a horse in the counselling room)
I will also provide you with help/worksheets if I feel these will be helpful to you inside or outside of the counselling room.
I supply a FREE small blank journal and pen pack to everybody when you start your first session. This can be used to write notes during sessions or for any questions. It can also be used for writing down all your thoughts and feelings, inside and outside the counselling room. These do not have to be shared with me - unless you want to.
If a journal isn’t your thing then that’s absolutely fine!
There will never be any pressure from me.
Come & meet me in person or you can call if you prefer. I offer a FREE 20 minute meet or chat.
This is where you can ask me any questions (even if you think it’s silly, I promise it’s not). I can talk you through everything you wish to know.
Most importantly I can help put your mind at ease (hopefully).
If you are ready to start the work to getting things on track then we can book your first session ( I am honoured ).
You can book weekly or fortnightly sessions, depending on what you need.
In-person, online or by phone, whatever works best for you. It’s about you being comfortable and feeling safe. Sessions are flexible and ALWAYS tailored to your needs.
I offer face to face (in person) appointments but also phone or zoom calls if thats best suited to you. The choice is yours.
Sessions are ALL ABOUT YOU, ALWAYS!
This is your space, your time, your process.
We will check in regularly and review our progress. We can change anything at any point. This is your journey.

My counselling room has free private off road parking for all clients every time they attend sessions - so that's one less thing to worry about.
I am DBS checked and can provide evidence of this should you require it. I can also provide evidence of business Liability insurance.
If you're unsure about booking a session, arrange your FREE 20 minute meet with me.
We do not have to meet beforehand, you are welcome to just book if you feel you are ready.

The length of time it takes to see results from counselling sessions with Bright Beginnings Counselling varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some clients may see improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term therapy.
The Counsellors at Bright Beginnings are licensed, accredited professionals with batchelor degrees in counselling or a related field. They also have an advanced diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). They have extensive training and experience working with individuals, couples, and families. All counsellors are DBS checked. They have also been a parent for over 20 years - which I’m sure most people would agree is the hardest type of qualification!
Bright Beginnings Counselling provides counselling services for individuals of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.
